Raven

Context

Raven Pro is a forward-thinking technology platform designed to connect clients with professional ski and snowboard instructors across the French Alps. More than a lesson-booking app, the platform functions as a concierge service, enabling instructors to organise restaurants, transport, ski hire and additional on-mountain experiences for their clients.

I was commissioned by the Raven Pro team to deliver a comprehensive set of photography and videography services to support the launch and growth of the brand. The brief was to create a high-quality visual asset library for use across the app interface, website, investor materials and future marketing campaigns. At the time, the brand was still in its early stages, which meant the photography and video content needed to help define how Raven Pro would be perceived visually from the outset.

Strategy

The strategy focused on creating a flexible and scalable visual system that could evolve alongside the brand. Working closely with Raven Pro, designers and branding agencies, I helped shape the visual direction through detailed creative briefs and mood boards.

From a photography and videography perspective, the goal was to balance trust, professionalism and ease of use with the aspirational lifestyle associated with skiing in the Alps. Search-led considerations were also factored in, ensuring the content could support website photography, app imagery, brand video content and future paid and organic marketing activity. The imagery needed to feel authentic, human and location-driven, while remaining polished enough for a premium tech platform.

Execution

Production took place across the Three Valleys in the French Alps during the Winter 2024/2025 season. The shoot combined multiple disciplines, including brand photography, lifestyle photography, action sports photography and short-form commercial videography.

Content focused on instructor-led moments, client interactions, on-mountain services and wider alpine lifestyle scenes, supported by expansive landscape imagery to anchor the brand firmly in its environment. Video assets were captured with versatility in mind, allowing for use across app screens, websites, social media and future campaigns. The result was a cohesive and adaptable photography and video library designed to support Raven Pro as it scales into new resorts and markets.
