Rhythm to Ride
Context
Rhythm to Ride is a young, forward-thinking ski school based in the Three Valleys, with a clear ambition to stand out in one of the most competitive ski regions in the world. I began working with the team in two thousand and twenty four, collaborating closely with the school’s owners as they continued to grow the brand and refine how they present themselves visually. From the outset, photography and videography were central to how Rhythm to Ride wanted to be perceived, not just as a ski school, but as a tight-knit, professional team offering a high-quality, modern experience on the mountain.
Alongside the core brand work, I also provide private photography and videography services for Rhythm to Ride clients. These bespoke shoots are designed for individuals, families and groups who want discreet, professional imagery of their time skiing together, without interrupting the flow of their lessons or holiday.

Strategy
The creative strategy focused on developing a distinctive and recognisable visual style that reflects both the energy of the instructors and the pace of the skiing experience. Working closely with the owners, the aim was to position Rhythm to Ride as one of the leading ski schools in the valley through strong team photography, fast-paced action imagery and engaging video content. Content needed to work hard across multiple platforms, including the website, social media and booking funnels, while still feeling natural, friendly and approachable. For private client shoots, the strategy is more understated, prioritising relaxed, candid photography and video that captures genuine moments on the mountain
"When we began our journey to set up a new ski school based in Meribel, we knew that the way we portray ourselves to the public would be a very important part to our success. We were also adamant that we needed to work with someone that wouldn't just capture good images and video, but someone that would capture the essence and personality of our ski school.
Having seen Gwils work grow over the years in Meribel and beyond, we knew that he would be a fantastic match. He works with professionalism, but also with flexibility which was so important to us. He is someone that wants to capture the image and also tell a story, whether that's for our own marketing needs or client shoots. Gwil's always able to produce work that''s truly unique and very distinctive in itself. He's a very passionate and talented individual that we will continue to worth with for as long as possible. "

Execution
Production takes place across the Three Valleys throughout the winter season. Brand shoots combine instructor portraits, dynamic action photography and short-form videography designed for social media and web use. The content is captured with flexibility in mind, ensuring it can be used across marketing campaigns, seasonal launches and ongoing digital updates. Private photography and videography sessions are delivered alongside lessons, allowing clients to receive high-quality images and video without disrupting their ski day. The result is a cohesive library of ski school photography and videography that supports both brand growth and memorable client experiences.
