Ronnie Loves Music
Context
Ronnie Loves Music is the largest music festival in the Méribel Valley, taking place over five days at the end of March and bringing together leading bands from the Alpine circuit alongside international headline acts. Hosted at the iconic Rond Point venue in the heart of the Three Valleys, the festival draws thousands of people to its expansive terrace for après sessions, live music, great food and long mountain sunsets.
I began working with Ronnie Loves Music in March 2024, returning each year to capture the festival as it continues to grow and evolve. With such a strong sense of place and atmosphere, photography and videography are central to how the festival is remembered, shared and promoted long after the music stops.

Strategy
The creative approach is centred on energy, pace and authenticity. Rather than only focusing on headline performances, the goal is to document the full festival experience, from the crowd and the staff to food, drinks and behind-the-scenes moments. Working closely with the venue and marketing teams, the strategy is to deliver festival photography and video content that feels current and relevant each year, while still remaining recognisably Ronnie Loves Music. Content is shaped with social platforms in mind, ensuring it performs in real time while also contributing to a long-term media library.
"I’ve worked with Gwilym for several years now, and he’s not only an incredibly talented videographer and photographer, but also just a genuinely great person to work with. He has a brilliant eye for detail and storytelling, and he always brings a calm, positive energy to every project. Whether collaborating directly or as a trusted third party, he makes everything feel easy and delivers work that consistently exceeds expectations. I couldn’t recommend him more."

Execution
Across each edition of the festival, I capture and deliver daily photography and highlight video reels while the event is unfolding. This includes live performance coverage, crowd moments, lifestyle details and atmospheric shots of the venue and surrounding mountains. Content is turned around quickly for Instagram and digital channels, allowing the festival to stay visible and engaging throughout the week. Following the event, all photography and videography is curated into best-of collections, creating a versatile archive for future marketing, promotion and announcements. The result is a consistent, evolving body of music festival photography and videography that grows stronger with each year.
